About Me

I am Luu Thang (Luu Quoc Thang), a Senior AI Engineer and Project Manager with nearly ten years in software delivery. I am at ease with both the technical and the commercial side of a project: models that must be trained and judged, and plans that must meet a budget and a date.

I have led T&M and Fixed-Price programs, including teams of up to 20 people — planning, risk, quality, and reporting to the customer. As an engineer I design and ship production AI: LLM fine-tuning (LoRA, QLoRA, PEFT), RAG and agents, computer vision, and speech (ASR/TTS), mainly with Python and PyTorch, integrated into Java/Spring, React, and cloud services when the product needs it.

I was previously a Technical Leader at FPT Software and a Senior Research Engineer at LG Electronics Vietnam. I still care about architecture, mentoring, and the last details that turn a demonstration into something people can trust.

Alongside company work, I accept a limited number of independent projects for businesses: production AI, websites designed for advertising, mobile applications, and digital-transformation work that teams can run day to day. A short note is always welcome; I will reply with care.

Senior AI Engineer & Project Manager• 2021 – Present

  • Responsible for delivery on T&M and product workstreams: planning, resourcing, risk, budget, and client reporting.
  • Design and ship production AI — LLM fine-tuning, RAG, agents, speech and computer vision — alongside enterprise Java/Spring and React systems.
  • Accountable for release quality; coach engineers on AI engineering, evaluation, and the careful use of LLMs in delivery.

  • Developed automotive HMI software (C++, Python, QML): detailed design, implementation, and verification.
  • Built Python tooling to generate code from specifications and to automate test execution.
  • Investigated production issues and worked with global customers through Jira.

  • Led delivery of a large ERP rebuild for a Japanese client (Angular, .NET): internal design, implementation, and test.
  • Coordinated unit, functional, and customer acceptance testing with onsite counterparts.
